Welcome to Prehealing Blog

Hello. I am Das. In Sanskrit, my name carries a simple, profound meaning: "Servant." And it is in that spirit of service that I offer my thoughts and research to you today. For as long as I can remember, I have been passionately driven by a single, powerful question: What if we could reverse the effects of aging? This pursuit has been my life's work, a deep dive into the very nature of time, biology, and vitality. Over the years, the fog of mystery has begun to clear, and I have found answers—not just on how to slow down the clock, but on how to address the age-related challenges that so many of us have come to accept as inevitable. This journey of discovery led me to a fundamental realization about our own existence. We truly have only two states of being: we are either "At-Ease" or in a state of "Dis-Ease." The state that manifests most dominantly in your life is not a matter of fate, but a matter of choice. It is your lifestyle that acts as the gen...

ReTagging Memories

( Continued from the previous post:  The Art of Healing Memories that Hurt ) How do you Retag? Are there any prerequisites to retag? There are two ways to retag a memory. The first method involves meditation. Meditation simply put is inner engineering. Rewiring the brain so that when we RE-ACT we act differently. It is a process by which all of us grow and mature. Some sit and meditate consciously, whereas for the vast majority meditation happens as we go through life experiences and those experiences in turn do the needful. Eventually as we go through the event, replay it and look at it holistically we are able to react differently. Whilst conscious meditation or therapy could hasten the process, the slow and the natural method too works just as well Then there is a spontaneous way, an automated way of retagging and that involves a Paradigm shift. Let me illustrate this with a story I read long time ago and that helped me understand a paradigm shift. Here goes....

The Art of Healing Memories that Hurt

Sujata was a Prehealing participant who stayed with us while she was doing the Prehealing Lifestyle Program. As a part of the Prehealing program we walked for approximately 10 kilometers every day. Sujata was fun to walk with. She had so many stories to tell and most of the times the 10 kilometers walk felt too short. It was on one of those days, we started the walk and as usual Sujata started the walk/talk combo.  For the  better part of the walk, the talk was ‘Happy Talk’, but somewhere along the way out came a memory the dark and painful type. Earlier on, after we started the therapy, I had made it a point to cut her short and explain to her as to why it was important to let go, whenever she went into a mode of complaining, whining and negativity that left her feeling depressed. On this day however I decided to observe and let her go on with her tale - a childhood trauma she just couldn’t let go. A trauma that was a constant source of her stress. On she went…. “Speaki...

When Indra Kills the Cow

"Get out "  said the Brahmin as he chased the hapless cow with a stick in his hand. " This is the last time this wretch is going to ruin my garden" he thought to himself.  Whack ; He struck her yet once again. The cow ran faster now, her eyes glazed with fear. It was then that misfortune struck. The cow tried to jump across the fencing. Her attempt landed her right in the middle of the fence on a sharp stump of an Acacia tree. The stump pierced her heart and killed her instantly. In ancient India it was a sin to kill a cow as it was considered sacred. The Brahmin was summoned to the kings court. " Are you the Brahmin who killed a cow" asked the King renowned for his adherence to truth. The Brahmin was prepared for this question. Feigning reverence for the King, who never tolerated falsehood, the Brahmin said  " O mighty king, there  is nothing I do on my own. As you are aware, all the sense organs of man are controlled by Lord Indra; ...

Purva-Tapa and Pre-Healing

( Meanings of certain Sanskrit as well as IT jargon used in this article can be found at the bottom of this post )       One of the greatest battles ever fought was about to begin.  The armies on both the sides were ready, waiting for a sign so that they could hurl themselves on to each other.  This war was being fought between members of the same clan. They were all related and many had to make a painful choice of picking one side versus the other. In fact most weren't even enemies . A war that was being fought because those who were in power turned a blind eye to the  festering hatred, ego issues, greed, jealousy and the unethical practices of their close kith and kin who abused the power that they had access to.. This was a unique war.  The war had not even begun, but Arjuna had already visualized the end of the war.  He saw the battlefield strewn with bodies of his beloved relatives. No longer did victory mean mu...

The Backup Plan.

2 nd   Feb 2012. It was 10:20 pm. Sangeeta my better half, was almost done with putting our two little ones, Aum and Sri to sleep. Whilst Aum and Sri were peacefully tucked in bed, little did they know about the ordeal their mother would be going through. In no less than an hours time we were at the hospital. I parked the car at the entrance, asked Sangeeta to wait inside so that I could report her arrival and get her admitted. I was greeted by a nurse from behind closed grille doors. On being told that we had arrived for the delivery, she rushed off inside. Assuming that she was off to get the keys, I waited and waited and waited. "Whats taking you so long" I heard Sangeeta  call from inside the car. Jolted awake from my reverie I rattled the lock once more, calling for assistance. I saw the nurse approaching me and heaved a sigh of relief. But No. She did not open the grille doors. Instead she politely told me that they weren't accepting any patients that day. ...
