A Disease that needs our support

( Summary for those who don’t have the time to read it all )
  1. What is a Disease.
  2. Healing: as a Positive Disease.
  3. Understanding Covert and Overt Diseases
  4. What happens when you interfere with the Healing Disease
  5. Our current disease fighting methodology is to side with the enemy when there is a war.
  6. How can we cooperate with the body during a crisis
--------

Hari was experiencing flu like symptoms. He was running a temperature, had severe body ache and was feeling very weak and nauseated. He wanted to know as to how he could arrest his fever as soon as possible, get rid of his weakness and be up and running so that he could attend to an important meeting in the office the next day.
For Hari as for most of us the biggest problem was the Fever and the accompanying discomfort. When he went to the doctor the doctor gave a course of antibiotics, an anti-pyretic and an antihistamine. When Hari enquired if it wasn't prudent to do a blood test before taking the antibiotics, the doctor told him that he could do the blood test after 2-3 days.  All of what the doctor had prescribed in this case were Anti-Healing medications. Why? Because they would be addressing the Disease of Healing.

Disease of Healing: A Positive Disease
(Experienced as Symptoms such as Fever, Body-ache, Nausea, Loose Motions etc)

The Fever: Creates an inhospitable environment ( It is like imposing curfew or Presidents Rule). It also activates the immune response and plays a pivotal role in resolving the underlying security breach or signalling issue that triggered the healing response.

The Shivering: It is the body’s attempt to increase the temperature and is triggered by the Hypothalamus

The Weakness:  Is due to the fact that the body allocates most of the resources for the war and creates a feeling of weakness so that the organism is forcibly immobilized.

The above symptoms in Hari’s case were meant to create an inhospitable environment for the offending organism. These changes also alerted the immune system so that the body could start addressing a Covert Disease. Now, what is a Covert Disease?

Covert / Hidden  Disease or a Security Breach: A Negative Disease

Covert Disease: In this case it would be an infection that would go unnoticed. In fact a covert disease is much more dangerous than the steps taken by the body to fight it. Hence we could say that the hidden part of the disease is the covert disease and the symptom part which we experience as discomfort when our body alerts us and takes action is the Overt Disease. Since symptoms are like alarms and they alert us- consider them as the body’s attempt to heal or to alert us to take action

In real life- would you side with an enemy or would you support the security personnel who are there to protect you. Would you consider the security personnel to be negative if they were to restrict your movement so as to ensure your safety? However, when it comes to our health we take reckless decisions and go all out to suppress the symptoms.

So when we take that Acetaminophen to suppress our fever, or a pain killer to numb us to the SOS signals that certain cells are sending, we are doing more harm than good.

I think it is time that we start paying more attention to our body. We have to remember that medicines are of absolutely no use if they are going to oppose the body’s healing mechanism. If we continue on this path of opposing the body, very soon the damage done to our cells because of the covert diseases would overwhelm the body and create a covert disease of a magnitude that  would overwhelm and destroy us.

To Summarize:

Yes, though Healing is a Dis-ease and it does make us uncomfortable, yet it needs our support. If we support healing- when we are sick and do the best we can to keep the body healthy by following healthy lifestyle habits, then there will be fewer instances of security breaches and hence fewer Healing Diseases!

Purva-Tapa and Pre-Healing

( Meanings of certain Sanskrit as well as IT jargon used in this article can be found at the bottom of this post )       One of the greatest battles ever fought was about to begin.  The armies on both the sides were ready, waiting for a sign so that they could hurl themselves on to each other.  This war was being fought between members of the same clan. They were all related and many had to make a painful choice of picking one side versus the other. In fact most weren't even enemies . A war that was being fought because those who were in power turned a blind eye to the  festering hatred, ego issues, greed, jealousy and the unethical practices of their close kith and kin who abused the power that they had access to.. This was a unique war.  The war had not even begun, but Arjuna had already visualized the end of the war.  He saw the battlefield strewn with bodies of his beloved relatives. No longer did victory mean mu...

Welcome to Prehealing Blog

Hello. I am Das. In Sanskrit, my name carries a simple, profound meaning: "Servant." And it is in that spirit of service that I offer my thoughts and research to you today. For as long as I can remember, I have been passionately driven by a single, powerful question: What if we could reverse the effects of aging? This pursuit has been my life's work, a deep dive into the very nature of time, biology, and vitality. Over the years, the fog of mystery has begun to clear, and I have found answers—not just on how to slow down the clock, but on how to address the age-related challenges that so many of us have come to accept as inevitable. This journey of discovery led me to a fundamental realization about our own existence. We truly have only two states of being: we are either "At-Ease" or in a state of "Dis-Ease." The state that manifests most dominantly in your life is not a matter of fate, but a matter of choice. It is your lifestyle that acts as the gen...
